Discover two unique distilleries and be immersed in the fascinating world of rum production in Martinique. This exclusive tour takes you to the town of Le François, in the Atlantic coast of the island, where you’ll enjoy a private visit of the distillery A1710, located at the charming Simon plantation. You will learn all about the rum-making process from A to Z. The approximately 1,5-2h visit will conclude with a tasting of their excellent rums and a possibility to buy them. For the hard-core rum enthusiasts, it’s also possible to visit the Compagnie du Rhum showroom situated on the premises with their 1000 brands of rum from all over the world (Tuesdays to Fridays)! After, we’ll hop back to the van and drive to the close-by Clément plantation. You will be guided through the large estate where you’ll see the old main house (classified as a historical monument), the distillery-museum, the botanical garden with contemporary sculptures, the aging rooms and the outlet offering tastings and selling the rums. You’ll also have the chance to visit the art galleries with their changing exhibitions by different Caribbean artists.
