1. Overview
This website is operated by Meet Martinique. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Meet Martinique. Meet Martinique offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.
By visiting our site and/ or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/ or contributors of content.
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or use any of the services. If these Terms of Service are considered an offer, acceptance is expressly limited to these Terms of Service.
Any new features or tools which are added to the current store shall also be subject to the Terms of Service. You can review the most current version of the Terms of Service at any time on this page. We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and/or changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the website following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
Our store is hosted by WordPress. WordPress and the plugin Woocommerce provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
2. Contract Formation
You the customer can choose product(s) from our range of printed guidebooks or e-book version guidebooks “GUIDEBOOK” website by clicking on the product(s) and subsequently adding it or them to the “Cart” by clicking the button “Buy now”. Once you click the button “Buy Now” on the “Checkout” page you make an order that is an offer to Meet Martinique to purchase our product(s). You can change and/or check your selection until you have clicked the button “Buy Now”. The order is only valid if you have read and agreed to the Terms & Conditions beforehand.
When you place an order to purchase a product from Meet Martinique, we will send you a message confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order (the “Order Confirmation”). The Order Confirmation is acknowledgement that we have received your order, and does not confirm acceptance of your offer to buy the product(s) or the services ordered.
We only accept your offer, and conclude the contract of sale for a product ordered by you, when we dispatch the product to you and send an e-mail confirming to you that we’ve dispatched the product to you (the “Dispatch Confirmation”). The Dispatch Confirmation will contain a list of items ordered and the Terms & Conditions. We guarantee that all of this will be in compliance with data protection laws. The product(s) will be dispatched once you have made your payment.
The language of the contract is English.
3. Prices
Due to the characteristics of Meet Martinique as a small-scale business in accordance with the Slovakia “small-enterprise regulation” no VAT will be charged nor is it included in any prices. The prices on the overall product list and the single product’s page exclude the shipping costs.
Shipping costs will be paid by the customer. The shipping costs will be displayed in the Cart with the final price calculation.
If you cancel the order within 14 days you will be obliged to pay the costs for returns.
Prices for our products are subject to change without notice.
We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time.
4. Delivery & retention of title
Unless agreed otherwise, delivery will be made to the delivery address indicated by you.
Shipping times will be up to 5 days (inside Martinique and Slovakia). To EU, USA and Canada shipping times will be between 7 – 14 days and to other countries it may take up to 30 days. The day we send you the Dispatch Confirmation counts as day 1.
We bear the shipping risks for consumers only.
Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
If we notice that a product is indefinitely unavailable we will not send the Dispatch Confirmation.
Until the product(s) are fully paid the product(s) remain our property even if the product(s) has/have been delivered.
5. Right of cancellation

STATUTORY RIGHT
You have the right to cancel your order without giving any reason within 3 days from the day on which you or a third party indicated by you (other than the carrier) receives the goods purchased or from the day of the conclusion of the contract, in the case of services or digital content not supplied in a tangible medium. You must inform us of your decision to cancel your order via letter or email. You may submit your request by contacting us via email ([email protected]) To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication on the exercise of the right to cancellation before the cancellation period has expired and return the goods within the deadline defined below.
EFFECTS OF CANCELLATION
If you cancel your order, we will reimburse all payments received from you for the goods purchased. This reimbursement will be made without undue delay and, except in the situations described below, by no later than 30 days from the day on which we received your communication on the cancellation of this order. For such reimbursement we will use the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. In any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
Note that you must send back the goods without undue delay and in any case by no later than 10 days from the day on which you communicate to us your cancellation of this order. To meet the deadline, it is sufficient for you to send the goods before the period of 10 days has expired. You will have to bear the regular cost of returning the goods if the goods delivered correspond to the goods ordered.
You will only have to pay compensation for any deterioration of the goods if the value of the goods diminishes due to the handling of the goods (except when it was necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods).

6. Warranty & liabilities
We do not provide warranty, but we offer replacement by same another product if these goods have defects or are not as described. If the goods cannot be repaired or replaced within a reasonable time or without difficulties you can claim reimbursement or a reduction of the purchase price.
In no case shall Meet Martinique, our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, interns, suppliers, service providers or licensors be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including, without limitation lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, loss of data, replacement costs, or any similar damages, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, arising from your use of any of the service or any products procured using the service, or for any other claim related in any way to your use of the service or any product, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in any content, or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of the service or any content (or product) posted, transmitted, or otherwise made available via the service, even if advised of their possibility. Because some states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or the limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, in such states or jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
7. Payment terms
Payment is possible via credit card.
The payment is due immediately upon conclusion of the contract. If the due date has been determined according to the calendar, default shall already be assigned upon expiry of this period.
8. Closing Provisions
All contracts via www.meetmartinique.com are subject to Slovakia sale of goods law while being not subject to the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
In the event that any provision of these Terms of Service is determined to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed to be severed from these Terms of Service, such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.
